Best Wedding Venues in Somerset

Wedding Venues in Somerset…

I have been a wedding photographer in Somerset for about five years now, so I thought it was about time to write a blog about my favourite venues, so here we go…

At number one: A wedding at the Roman Baths

What a place to say you have been married. The Roman Baths makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding photography. It is so ridiculously picturesque and is just such a peaceful and epic wedding venue in Bath! You can have either a sunrise ceremony or sunset ceremony, then party on at The Roman Baths or go elsewhere. It makes the perfect wedding venue for an intimate ceremony with just close friends and family or even just the two of you.

My number 2 top wedding venues in Somerset goes to- Priston Mill near Bath

This Somerset wedding venue has endless possibilities for wedding photographs. You can have your ceremony and reception in either the Priston Mill Tythe Barn or the Mill. It is a beautiful setting for an outdoor ceremony if the weather permits and the food is FABULOUS!

Number 3 top wedding venue in Somerset goes to Woodford Farm in Wells

This is quite a new Somerset wedding venue and is right up my street! This Somerset farm wedding venue is located just outside of Wells on the way to North Wooton. It is perfect for a marquee next to the lake with gorgeous fairy lights surrounding the area. They even have a house for you to stay the night before your wedding and get ready in the morning.

My number 4 top wedding venue in Somerset goes to Elmhay Park and Orchardleigh Estate

Elmhay Park offers a scenic Kew Garden like vibe with a stunning orangery and beautiful Italian gardens. At both these Somerset wedding venues you can get ready in the Castle at the entrance to the estate. If you decide to go for Orchardleigh you can move onto the Bonita suite to finish your preparations and weather permitting get married in the Belvedere.

Number 5 top wedding venue in Somerset goes to Crowcombe Court

One of the coolest of Somserset wedding venues, it has everything you could ask for. A gorgeous ceremony room where stairs are your aisle, a large beautiful dinning area, a bride and groom suite for preparations and  an EPIC dancefloor!

My number 6 top wedding venue in Somerset goes to Quontock Lakes

Get married looking out over the spectacular lake, perfect for sunset and confetti wedding photos. A light and airy venue offering plenty of room for dancing, eating, wandering around and guest activities including a big swing!

Number 7 top wedding venue in Somerset goes to Glastonbury Weddings and Events

Set on a farm this awesome venue has a church on site perfect for big ceremonies. It also has glamping pods for staying overnight for you and guests. The barn and surrounding area are perfect to get some quirky wedding photos.

My number 8 top wedding venue in Somerset goes to Bath Spa Hotel

Bath Spa Hotel Wedding Venue is perfect for a nice grand wedding with plenty of room and different area for entertaining your guests. It has so many unusual and cool spots for taking some nice wedding photos, for example the cave in the gardens.

Number 9 top wedding venue in Somerset goes to Temple of Minerva in Bath

This Bath wedding venue is perfect for your intimate Bath wedding ceremonies and larger Bath wedding ceremonies. The botanical gardens surrounding the quaint wedding venue pose for striking photos.

My number 10 top wedding venue in Somerset goes to Haselbury Mill

Filled with individual quirks this Somerset wedding venue offers so much! The owner Minnie is just the loveliest lady and has a real care and love for her couples. The Mill is huge inside and has some interesting props including an army tank to pose for photos

Last but not least, this is not a venue as such but a City, Wells

Wells has the most beautiful town hall for wedding ceremonies. There is a big room filled with chandeliers and a smaller room for more intimate Wells wedding ceremonies. You must make sure to walk around the City (famous for the movie Hot Fuzz) to get some photos by the Cathedral and up to the oldest medieval street, Vicars Close.

Anyway there you have it, my favourite Somerset wedding venues. I hope this was helpful to you and please let me know if you have any questions regarding any of the wedding venues.
