Frequently asked questions.
Can you do us a bespoke package? Yes absolutely! If you feel like my packages don’t suit the needs of your day then we can have a chat and see if we can work something out. For example, if you don’t want preparation photos but you really want me to stay after the first dance to capture those silly dance moves thats ok. We can tailor your package so it is ceremony to party, rather than prep to party.
Do you travel? Yes absolutely! There may be a small fee for hotel and travel if your wedding is over 150 miles away.
We are nervous and don’t want to pose, how can you help us? Well, if you book me then that is the first step to settling those nerves. My style is very natural, I want to blend into your wedding to allow me to capture candid memories. The most important thing when booking your photographer is that you get on with them. This will allow you to remember the moments as they happened rather than feeling there was a camera in your face. I may pose you slightly just to get you in the right position but I usually will ask you to walk hand in hand or cuddle into each other, but most importantly, have some fun!
How do we book you? Once you have filled out an enquiry form I will invite you to have a phone call with me so we can get to know each other and discuss the wedding in more detail. If you are happy with everything and you are keen to book then I will send you some paperwork and ask for a 20% deposit to secure the date. The rest of the money will be due a month before the wedding.
How do we receive the photos? After the wedding I will send you some sneak peaks within the week. This gives you something to share with guests and to look at yourselves. Then the rest of the photos will be with you in the gallery within 6-8 weeks.
Do we have full rights to the photos? Yes! They are yours to do with whatever you want. You can download them from the gallery in high-resolution and web sized.
How many photos will we get? For a full day gallery I usually send roughly 600-800 edited photos. If you go for the hourly package I deliver roughly 100 photos for every hour.
Can we get an album, USB or prints? Yes! You can buy a USB, an album or prints through me or through the shop on the gallery.
What is your illness policy? I would have to be on my death bed to not show up to a wedding! However, things happen and there is only one of me. If I do get ill or can’t make it to your wedding for some reason I have an array of photographers that I trust and who have worked with me before. I would see if one of them was free and get them to photograph the day and I would edit it so it was all in my style.
Do we have to do group photos? It is totally up to you! It’s your day to do whatever you want. The same applies to couple portraits.
Can I give you a shot list? My style is candid, therefore (unless it’s group photos) I don’t really like working from a shot list. Purely because I then miss the candid moments because I am too focused on capturing the list you have given me. If there is something that is really important to you then just let me know and I will make sure I photograph it.
Do we need to feed you? Any package over 6 hours I would really appreciate to be included in the meal plans. It is a very long day for me so it would be lovely to have some food. However, if you can’t that is absolutely fine. Just let me know and I can bring my own.
How long does the gallery last? Technically forever at the moment. I have a monthly subscription to the gallery provider which currently allows me to have as many galleries as possible. I can’t promise that it won’t change in the future, however I will give you plenty of notice if it does.
