Sunrise wedding at The Roman Baths (Copy)

The 5am wake up call was totally worth it to be David and Frances’s Roman Baths wedding photographer! What a magical celebration it was with their nearest and dearest guests. The streets of Bath were so quiet at that time in the morning, making it a gorgeous time to photograph the couple’s arrival.

They both slept at the Indigo hotel the night before and got ready with their mums in the morning. When I arrived they were eating a delicious breakfast which they had panic ordered at 2am when they realised they forgot to the night before. Once David’s mum applied his flower button hole he went upstairs to meet his friends and brothers. Frances stayed in the room and prepared for her big day with the mother of the bride. It was such a lovely moment to capture, Frances’s mum plaiting the bride’s hair and them doing their make up together.

At 7.50am I walked with David to the Roman Baths and got photographs of him arriving. We then walked back to the Bath Abbey where the groom met his bride for their first look. The wedding ceremony started at 8.30am after Frances was walked down the aisle by her Grandad. The steam from the Roman Baths was rising as they spoke their vows and the view of the Bath Abbey in the background was spectacular. Once I had taken some group photographs and couple portraits the wedding party went upstairs to the Pump Rooms to enjoy a delicious breakfast.

What a pleasure it was being David and Frances’s sunrise Roman Baths wedding photographer. If you are planning a wedding and like what you see then please use the form bellow to get in touch and tell me your plans!
