Why do an engagement photoshoot?

In my pervious blogs I have spoken about being comfortable with your wedding photographer. This is a really important factor when choosing your photographer. The easier you get on with your photographer the nicer your wedding photos will be. The best photos are produced when you have a bit of fun and a laugh with your photographer.

The engagement photoshoot is the perfect way to get to know your wedding photographer and how they shoot. It is a good time to get used to being in front of the camera and getting used to how the photographer poses and guides you.

An engagement photoshoot can be done whenever and wherever you want. It can be done as soon as you are engaged, a year before the wedding, a month before or a few days before. You can choose where you want to do it. Whether it be at your house, at your local park, favourite woods, on your preferred walk or your photographer can recommend places.

An engagement photoshoot with me is £250. I see this as a good investment because you not only have lovely photos to cherish and remember your engagement, you can use them for invites, thank you cards and guest book photos on your wedding day.

Two top tips for an engagement photoshoot…

Number 1. look to the photographer for guidance

Number 2. HAVE FUN! Relax into it as much as you can and be yourself!
