Quantock Lakes Wedding Photographer

Kate & Tom- 14th August 2025

Kate and Tom found my website when searching for a colourful, fun and relaxed wedding photographer on Google. They were in the process of buying their house in Brislington in Bristol when planning their celebration. They wanted someone who would just blend in and make memories that they could look back on and remember the day exactly as it happened, not posed.

“The photos… wow. We are absolutely blown away. The sneak peeks alone were worth the money a thousand times over. We received the full gallery in just 3 weeks, even during peak summer season, and every image exceeded our expectations. It honestly feels like we’re back in the moment every time we look through them. On the day, Freya had the loveliest presence. She helped calm my nerves while I was getting ready and brought such a friendly, laid-back energy. It honestly felt like having a friend with us rather than a supplier.”

Dancing at Quantock Lakes

Both the bride and groom got ready at Quantock Lakes. Kate in the bridal suite with her bridal party and Tom in the farmhouse with the groomsmen. During the preparations I managed to get the couple’s favourite image of the day, the flat lay with all the bride’s jewellery and even Sienna the Poodle’s paw. Kate wore a jumpsuit from Monsoon with the most beautiful earrings and her pink and orange shoes.

The ceremony started at 1.30pm down by the lake with Sienna the pooch taking centre stage. It was unusually windy for an August day but that didn’t stop us. The newlyweds were led out of the ceremony by the most spectacular confetti line I have ever seen. There was millions of bits of paper confetti by Flutter Darlings and four confetti canons. At the end of the confetti line the Brass Junkies, an epic brass band were there to surprise the guests and begin the cocktails and canapés.

When the couple sent me their Pinterest board of ideas I just knew we would be the perfect fit for one another. I knew someone else who would match their their vision for Quantock Lakes with her flowers- Alex from Petal head flowers. She is a flower genius, she uses dried flowers to create the most striking colours. The best thing about them is that you can keep them forever after your wedding.

After the meal and the most tearjerking speeches we took our beers and went off into the sunset to do some smoke bomb photos. It was then time to stuff our faces with Roan Tree Bakery’s brownies and dance the night away to celebrate the most beautiful couple and their dog Sienna.

This wedding was amazing! I had such a wonderful day as Kate and Tom’s Quantock Lakes wedding photographer. The colour was so bold and worked so beautifully against the backdrop of the venue.
