Bristol Harbourside Wedding Photographer
Christina & Ronan 25th July 2025
Christina and Ronan were looking for a fun, colourful and candid wedding photographer to cover their Bristol Harbourside wedding in July. They got engaged on the Yorkshire moors in December and were planning a big celebration in Bristol with all their closest friends and family. They met the modern way, on Hinge 2 years ago and have known they want to be wed as soon as possible.
"Freya is an absolute magician with a camera. From our first phone call, she was brilliant, super organised, full of helpful suggestions, and genuinely excited for our day, which made such a difference. On the day itself, she was incredible. Neither of us are especially comfortable in front of the camera, but Freya put us completely at ease and made the whole thing feel natural and relaxed. She somehow managed to capture everything, the joy, the colour, the fun, without ever feeling intrusive. The photos are exactly what we hoped for and more. She sent us a sneak peek on our wedding night, which was amazing to look through together, and the full gallery came through just a couple of weeks later. Friends and family keep telling us how fantastic the photos are and we couldn’t agree more. Thank you so much, Freya, we’re so glad you were part of it.- Ronan & Christina”
I met the couple at the Bristol registry office where they said their vows. Ronan wasn’t very nervous at all, just incredibly excited to see his bride and make her his wife. The newly weds were greeted outside by their wedding guests with confetti. I then wandered with the couple around the Bristol registry office, down Broad Street where they had a little dance under St John on the wall Church. After we walked to Queen Square past Christmas Steps for welcome drinks with their guests via the Harbourside, past the Arnolfiini, and Watershed. Champagne was flowing and friends were catching up and mingling.
Once they had finished their group photos we walked along the Harbourside past the M Shed to Whapping Wharf where they had an intimate dinner with their closest family. Being a graphic designer, Ronan had made some awesome wedding breakfast menus. I left the couple here and met them again a few hours later by Portland Square in Bristol at the Artist Residency where they had their evening wedding celebration.
The Artist residence was covered in glitter, colourful streamers and disco balls, just up my street! Lots to photograph. They even managed to get their cats involved by sticking photos of their faces on the wall art. Speeches were so gorgeous, they had everyone in tears. Shots were flowing after the speech drinks and the party was started, led by their DJ friends on the decks.
It was such a privilege to be Christina and Ronan’s Bristol wedding photographer. I had such a lovely day with them both and felt so involved because their friends and family were so welcoming!
If you are interested in having me as your Bristol wedding photographer, please get in touch. I only have 6 full day spaces left for 2026 and plenty for 2027.
