Elmhay Park wedding venue

Bride and groom with hands in air

I am in love with this Somerset wedding venue! I was so happy to be an Elmhay Park Wedding Photographer. This amazing venue gives me Kew Garden vibes!

Set in the rolling hills of Somerset Elmhay Park is situated near Frome, it lies on the Orchardleigh Estate. Elmhay park offers it’s site for three days over your wedding weekend. This allows you to set up and pack down but also enjoy the space and celebrate with friends and family for a long period. There are activities to get involved in such as going to the spa, participating in a round of golf, shooting or fishing. Elmhay Park’s packages include unlimited wine (obviously the most important thing), followed by the next most important a 4-course meal.

The space at Elmhay Park consists of the most beautiful walled gardens, layered with plants and flowers, the orangery and Italian gardens. You can say your vows inside the Italian gardens in front of up to 300 guests and have your meal and party in the orangery. Elmhay Park also has a church if you wished to have a religious ceremony.

Photographing at Elmhay park

I have photographed a fair few weddings at Elmhay Park but this one was something special. Jack has a huge family therefore they had 170 guests attend their big day wedding. Photographing this many guests was a bit of a challenge luckily, I had Ellie my second shooter which meant we could cover more guests while I focused on the couple and group portraits.

Jayne got ready with her bridesmaids in the castle while Jack was preparing with his groomsmen at the Stables. Their wedding ceremony was at Downside church in Radstock right next to Downside Abbey. This was a wonderful building to capture in photographs. Once the ceremony was over it was time to celebrate their wedding in back at Elmhay Park with some canapes and drinks. We photographed some family and friend group portraits then wondered around the garden for some couple photos.

The evening was the favourite part of Jayne at Jack’s wedding at Elmhay Park. Jayne and Jack led us to the yellow covered fields to set off some smoke bombs. Then once we had got our shoes a bit dirty (see pics of Jayne’s shoes!) it was time for a party! Now, let me tell you Jayne and Jack really know how to throw a good party! Jack is part of a band so after their first dance Jack got up with the band and started singing some of their own songs. This was a damn good party! He had all his guests crouched down and ready to jump as the song dropped. AMAZING! I am so happy I was asked to be Jayne and Jack’s Elmhay Park wedding photographer!
