Roller Disco Wedding at Shack Revolution

Bride and groom with disco balls

I was so excited to be the Shack Revolution Wedding Photographer for this amazing roller disco styled shoot. Inspired by my love of roller skating and colour, I decided to get a fabulous bunch of suppliers together to create this wedding shoot at the most amazing industrial wedding venue in Hereford. Shack revolution is the most epic wedding venue, a blank canvas with an industrial style.

Introducing this funky, colourful roller disco wedding at Shack Revolution. I am crazy for a pop of colour within a photoshoot, I am so inspired by the creative and enthusiastic suppliers that were involved in this shoot. This trendy roller disco wedding features an alternative painted jacket, Rock n Roll banner, striking dried flowers and headpiece, quirky styling from vinyl placemats to colourful pink and orange streamers, retro love heart stationary, sparkly make up, a gorgeous and elegant dress, outstanding suit, an impressive and delicious cake, epic moving photobooth and shaped bright backdrops and the most bright and kind hearted celebrant. The perfect amount of creativeness for eccentric, individual couples looking for wedding inspiration for a colourful and outside the box wedding.

Incorporating colour into your wedding

The colour pallet for this roller disco wedding photoshoot was pinks and oranges. The suppliers worked together to mix up a bit of retro and punk into this modern urban wedding venue in Hereford. Being a DIY wedding venue, this gave us the perfect blank canvas to do whatever we wanted. Our colour scheme against the corrugated black iron, red brick walls, black and white painted geometric walls looked insane!

There was only one rule when it came to this wedding photoshoot and that was to have a shit load of disco balls! Alex at Petal head flowers absolutely bossed this by providing disco ball flowerpots to house her dried flowers. Sticking to the pink and orange theme, Katie at Skellon Events and Madeline at Bee and Bones design hit the nail on the head with the wedding styling by providing pink and orange tableware, candles, and a huge Rock n Roll banner with a lightening bolt. Retro save the dates, place names and menus were provided by the wonderful Hey Belles and the spectacular lemon wedding cake was made by Marta at Bohemian Bakery.

I wanted the wedding attire to be outstanding but elegant. I asked the models to incorporate their Doc Martens as wedding shoes because who wants to be uncomfortable on their wedding day? Greici, the model and make-up artist has some pretty awesome tattoos, therefore I wanted a dress that would show off her alternative personality. E an W Couture were the perfect fit for this brief because their dresses are designed to fit your authenticity. They use unusual fabrics to flatter your figure and match your personality. The suit was offered by Suave Owl in Bath, their aim is to inspire you to look and feel your best in an effortless manner.

Shack Revolution Wedding Venue

Shack Revolution is an industrial style wedding venue in the centre of Hereford and in my opinion is one of the coolest wedding venues I have ever seen! I found this venue because I was approached by a couple who was having their wedding here. I instantly fell in love with this epic wedding venue. Being in the heart of Hereford city centre you have shops, bars, hotels and the train station on the doorstep.

Shack Revolution is a family run business run by two brothers James and Rich. They first started out as a pizza and cocktails restaurant bar until they decided to turn it into an industrial wedding venue. This unique venue gives you the freedom to create your distinctive and one-off wedding. Their relaxed nature allows you to work together to design your wedding exactly the way you want it. There are three spaces within Shack Revolution, The Lean-To where you can have your ceremony, The Workshop where you can have your food and reception and also The Courtyard, which is for anything outdoors, reception, ceremony or just a relaxed BBQ or pizza van.

Hereford is a beautiful city lying on the River Wye, and home to the beautiful Hereford Cathedral. Close to the Welsh border Hereford is the perfect city if you want to be close to Gloucester, Wales or even Bristol. Home to the Museum of Cider and lots of lovely local shops and bars at the Old Market shopping centre.
