As venues go village halls are perfect because they are a blank canvas leaving room for creativity to do whatever you want design wise to your wedding. Set in the heart of Somerset, close to Bridgewater and Taunton this village hall was the most ideal place for Sophie and Adam to tie the knot. Sophie is in the wedding industry with her sister Becky, they own a wedding stationary business- Hey Belles Design and Stationary

The village hall was dressed with pink and purple coloured streamers and disco balls. The couple had draped fairy lights over a green backdrop on the stage and they had a streamer piece with neon lights spelling A&S. The wedding breakfast tables were filled with flowers and table decor to suit the couple’s personality. They had a FAB sign made by Madeline at Bee and Bones Design that said “You have my sword, and my bow and my axe” a famous quote from The Lord of the Rings film. Becky, the bride’s sister had made a sign for the crisp wall which said “I bloody love crisps”.

The ceremony was run by the gorgeous Jen the wedding celebrant, my absolute favourite person in the industry! Sophie and Adam played Rock Paper Scissors to see who would go first with their vows. Sophie’s Grandmother’s dog was the ring bearer and her parent’s dog came later in the evening and was totally nuts. I love dogs at weddings! To celebrate their marriage S&A made a cup tea and cheered with their guests outside the village hall. To add a pop of colour to their celebration, they were led out of the ceremony with beautiful coloured paper confetti and during their couple’s portrait session they had smoke bombs. Later in the day they had a game where you had to shoot down pink and purple painted toilet rolls with nerf guns.

“They are blooming excellent! Just the best reminder of the most FAB day, thank you again for being a legend and giving us the best photos!”- Sophie & Adam
